This is a small place right near the Wright State campus. They have no official website, but the reason I post them here is because they DO have good taste in music. The place reminds me of a minature BW3's and the staff is VERY kind. I'll try to post links or other info as i hear about what shakesdown there. Anybody from the board in the Dayton-ish area? If so ya ever been to the Oasis?

Tues. Night I'll be jamming up at oasis with various musicians from Dayton. It's a free show with cheap strong drinks and about 5 hotels within walking distance. Lineup includes :
DJ Possum(Entity): Turntables, Sampler, Keys
Houser(The Werks, Entity, Uff DA)- Guitar and Donkey Punches
Chucky Love(The Werks, Entity)- Bass
Justin (G-nome)- Drums
Other guests include Mezz(Skratchmatik & Zorba the Buddah)on Turntables, Live Effects, and sound, as well as some from out of state TBA. We're recording a 16 Track Multi Track to be mixed down and available soon. Mezz will be adding live dub and DnB style effects throughout the night as well as bringing extra sound and recording. Got Tues night free? This is the spot.

I don't live near Dayton, but I was at the One Under show at Oasis back in March, and agree that it is a venue and that it is small.

I wouldn't consider it a venue, but they do pay money to cram bands into the place. It's a great place that's why I'll promote it. The staff/management cater heady beers and live music! Too bad we didn't meet at the O/U show, sheesh i counted less than 30 people including the band but we did get the first AlexII there

I have a tendancy to look at any place a venue any more... Overuse the word I guess. It's a SMALL place with lots of tables (too many IMHO) that is actually a little eatery/watering hole that happens to book bands every so often. I think Crazy Legs books shows through them. Yeah, surprised we didn't meet. I was sitting pretty much on the lesley with my control board in my lap - That's how small the place is.

I'm not sure if crazylegs still does ALL of the bookings there or not. However the place is VERY jamband friendly and has live music at least 3 nights a week. Being that it's pretty much on WSU campus it draws a college crowd. I was shocked to see the place so empty for O/U but talked to one of the bar regulars who said the night before the place was slammin and everybody was hungover. I remember a Cliff solo gig when they had $3 pitchers woohoo jed: profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=101941888

I stopped in to see the WBB again last friday. The place was not overcrowded, but good times are had by all up in there. Gibson & Fitz opened the show, but I arrived while they were putting their instruments away

Do you know of the band Knucklehead?

lyle: I was under the assumption they would have both units in operation meaning the other side would be the "stage area" I could be totally wrong. I'm moving to a lil spot within walking distance of the new One Eyed Jacks Pub Burgers. I'm excited to have a live music spot near me. www.myspace.com/oasiscafenpub
