I saw them at the Ledges too.
Isn't this Donna Jean Godcheaux's son or something?
In all honesty, I'm not a fan.

yes she has had many brain/skull surgeries since the accident. the website is very informative. Aug 14th was the morning it happened...Amazing that she made it through. From that day forth she is proof there's more good than evil in this world! She had 3/4 of her skull removed then repaired. another link same site i think www.bringkimback.com/

i've seen boombox probably 10 times now and i still have the same thoughts when i see them. i just feel that it's a whole lot of not much. all the "songs" sound pretty much the same to me with techno-ish sounding percussion with a mediocre-at-best guitar playing less than stellar melodies over pre-recorded beats. i'm not sure what it's called by those who are in to dance kind of music, but i'd call it "house/dance/techno" more than i would consider it a jamband. maybe if you were completely spun on some rolls or something it could be fun, but i'm not much for supporting a band i can't enjoy without drugs. and even when i have seen them with an elevated conscience it wasn't that hot. but to each his own, and i have seen worse acts out there. i just think they got where they are because of his name and don't expect them to get any bigger. they're fun to see the first time, but after that it's been kind of a let down to see them as a bigger name on a bill.

Boombox does what Boombox does... Yhey do it well and they have a great following... Hell I wish I had that many people coming out to my shows.. If they're not your thing cool but I know you all can respect the fact that they do what they do and they do it well..
