this is from a rolling stones article...
“When Phish broke up, I made some comment about how I’m not gonna go around playing ‘You Enjoy Myself’ for the rest of my life,” Anastasio said with a laugh. “And it’s so funny because Fish and Mike and Page have been talking to each other a lot lately and now — it’s not that I can’t believe that I said that, but its symbolic of how much I lost my mind or how much I lost my bearings or something. Because at this point in time I would give my left nut to play that song five times in a row every day until I die. I certainly thought about that while I was in jail.”

Read about that on the LowDown. Sounds great to me...as long as they come back with passion and because they want to play together...not because they feel they owe people something. If they play with love than they will achieve greatness once again and the scene will embrace them with open arms.

funny to read this as I'm about to pull out an old phish dvd. I have mixed emotions about a phish reunion. I'd rather them not do a reunion tour, just seems too typical. First they hiatus, then they reunite, then crash harder then ever. What good could come of ANOTHER reunion? I love the music and the memories of phish tour days. To bring it back for one last "spin" seems pointless[other than to make themselves more richer].

id love it however thats prob bc i never got to see them... however i must say the fall of phish has brought the scene alot of new bands and gave alot of bands a chance to rise up... i kinda of like not having a "main" band. and instead seeing alot of people at alot of diff shows.

I don't think Phish was ever the main band. Their tours were huge in the late 90's

But you gotta think...instead of Large festivals being forced to reach into the Indy or mainstream rock seen to snag up Metalica or Jack Johnson...a Phish headliner would not only pull in sales but stay true to the scene. I think if they return with love for each other, their music, and the community that will embrace them...Phish could be an amazing band again. Yet they can't step in and crown themselves kings again...their are some incredibly talented bands currently at the top that aren't going anywhere. Moe., Umph, STS9, Panic, and Phil Lesh in particular are absolutely rock solid.
