Drumz. hopefully this is the end of this crap. on both sides. Tim wants it to end, he said he was done with this crap. let's see it through. If he goes somewhere else and starts his campaign all over again then we know were his sincerity stands. I think he means it. Let's ride it out on both sides. DELETION OF ALL POSTS, ON ALL BOARDS, WHEREVER THEY MAY BE...would be a nice gesture. And I will be watching.

Hedges, you are one hellva good guy. I've always known that for a fact. Mood flare sometimes. And I'm not upset with you. I will not comment or talk to Drumz because he hasn't nothing smart to say to me.. Sorry, but hes a drum head thats been banged out to long, lol! Anyway, like I said, your a good person. I understand where your coming from too! I didn't want to say anything, but just so you know Evan and I a long talk today on the phone, about 35 minutes or more. He got it off his chest, and I got it off my chest. We needed that talk. I'd love to tell you what it was about, but that would spoil all the fun, right! We ended our conversation on a possitive note, can you believe it?!? Please tell your friend drumz that he'll never be as cool as you!

Hey Hedges and Drumz, this guy came to the GGG from NLQP after leaving Summer Dance because of low turn-out maybe 85 people he said, Completely false. I played late night at SummerDance... in front of at least 1000 people... I'm not good at crowd numbers, but it was at least 10x your 85 people estimate. Say what you want, but facts need to be backed up. Carry on... LOTUS AT SUMMERDANCE 2008 Great pics of Summerdance 2008- www.pbase.com/brianhockensmith/2008summerdance

Glad you had a good time, but who really cares. Festival season across the board this summer sucked on EVERY level... That's funny Tim! As soon as you find out there were AT LEAST 1000 people there..you don't care. And really Tim...come on buddy...you're hurting my feeling now! To know that you don't hold me in such high regard as Hedges...well that's just sad. But just so you know...I don't think you'll ever be as cool as Mondo. Now...if you're really trying to take the high road...and your patching things up with Evan...delete all your slander posts. And make sure that "Chris" on Jambands delete his stuff too.....PLEASE

Glad you had a good time, but who really cares. Festival season across the board this summer sucked on EVERY level... I was just correcting your quote. There were WAY more people than 85. I don't feel that way about festies this year at all. At least here in the Northeast, our fests are getting overcrowded. Vibes, Strange Creek, Up North Fest... but, I will agree that there are too many fests. It seems that all fests have competition and if more fests would work together, then everybody will just have an overall better time.

Welcome Drumz and Hedges.. Saw you all over in Ratdog.org just started that board.. Yeah same crap here different board.. I for one due to unforseen circumstances didn't do the 3G's, won't go into details but right after that all these other bands and musicians dropped off the bill.. Great Karma for me..
I will say though that Tim treated me very kind and fair, it hurts me to see this stupid crap about NLQP.. I love that place and will perform there again..
I'm sure that when the 3G's happened not one person used any illegal substance or sold one thing at the 3G's..
I really hate the fact that 3G's bombed, I don't wish that on anyone.. NLQP had nothing to do with it.. I have never once told anyone not to go to the 3G's.. Could of saved 30 grand and just used the one stage at Legend Valley..
Well please stop bashing our venues in Ohio.. We have all made mistakes in the past including you, now just bashing NLQP is seriously silly... Let Karma take care of things because honestly you look like a bitter person right now.. I did a lot of free promotions for you and when I got booted well even people with tickets said the heck with the 3G's and told me to keep the tickets because they wouldn't support the venue or the 3G's.. Maybye next time call it Jerry's Jam and leave Garcia's name out of it. I for one didn't take offense to Garcia's name being used however a lot of people did, that's thier deal..
I hope you find what you're looking for Tim and I wish you the best, but please stop bashing NLQP.. If someone was stupid enough to deal in front of cops or security well shame on them, that's just stupid.. Don't defend the dumbasses that got busted for selling illegal drugs at NLQP, all of which accrding to your own post were from out of state and even a couple from WI..
So in short stop hating and start living.. And remember The Grateful Dead shows no one ever did any illegal substances..

Who was the promotor for 3g's? I heard he privately rented the venue from Trickle. Then he decided he didn't have the cash to pay Jackie Greene. Greene almost refused to show up, so Trickle paid him out of his own pocket. To thank everyone, Jackie ended his set 30 minutes early.

Geez, people know more about the 3G's than I do! Cut the crap.
How are you doing Lyle? Hope all is getting better for you! This summer sucked as far as festivals goes. Every festival so far this summer had its problems...

Together is the only way to reach one. We had a very similar scene over here 2 years ago with 2 fest... which I will leave both the bands and fests unnamed. There was a radius clause for one of the fests and they threatened to cancel a certain band if they didn't cancel their set at the other fest. Blah, blah, blah... it ended up very heated and still to this day, that band has negativity dragging behind them because people still claim that they made the wrong choice and sided with the wrong people. It just plain sucks and I support that band heavily and I will stand up to every person that talks down about them. I think Evan is a great guy, and I'm sure some other people think otherwise and that's just life. But, Evan supports the up and comers in a way that I've never seen any festival promoter do. I respect that with all my soul. That's why I fight for him. When someone does good for me, I repay them. So, don't take offense to my messages, but you have to understand that I stand by my opinion and I never forget my supporters. Please take step back and think about what this could turn into in the end. I'm not saying let's all hold hands and sing Kumbaya, but maybe both sides could figure out and agreement for next year... stagger the fests... I dunno. Something. This scene doesn't need any more negativity. Dig?

Lyle is wise. Let's keep it friendly. Like i said i will not defensively attack if i'm not put into a posiition to do so. This seems like a cool little site and i hope in the future my posts will be more constructive towards Ohio and it's music scene. who knows maybe someday i will rise above this silly negative reputation that has been assigned to me

The bands we had, are the same bands he hurt in his rants on the 3G's. It started with attacks like the ones below...
Date: Mar 31, 2008 1:57 PM look at this shit, i posted a flyer for the 3gs right..... and i got this e-mail from the ledges.... RE: INFO for TheGrateful Garcia Gathering Body: Rip off Jerry's family name. And copy our Gratefulfest. Move into Ohio with an attitude and even book my two house bands, Waterband and Jim Miller (like there are no good bands in Columbus) Tim is a tool and will get everything he deserves here in Ohio. He has put together a half-ass show with so-so bands OVERPLAYING. Its a show for WANNA BE HIPPIES. Ghetto hippies boiii. No old schooler would dare go to something as stupid as The 3 G's (DUH!). His show is fucked and everyone knows it. Tell him to go back wherever he came from. KARMA IS STRONG IN OHIO. Hippies are not stupid. Im still waiting for Tim to call and explain why he had choose band after band from my line-up. Tricksters, NRPS then Boombox, then Gans, Waterband, Jim Miller Band. Like there arent 500 other bands to pick from! But he wont. Cause he knows what a shit move it was. LAME, really fuckin lame ----------------- Bulletin Message ----------------- From: The Roaming Gnome Date:Mar 31, 2008 9:59 PM Subject: RE: The Ledges (please READ) it come from nelsons myspace page Body: You all deserve to know the truth about what goes on behind the scene. He put the squash on Trip's old Jerry Bash too. Thats his bread and butter show, that helps pay his farm and campground. This tool moves his show in from out of the area and puts it right on trips show. When I asked him why he didnt go the weekend after, he said he doesnt care about Trip. He was all cocky. I have known this guy for years because i HELPED him with his show since the begining. Now he figures he will bring it to Ohio, steal our opener acts, put the show on before Gratefulfest, charge a rediculous amount of money and hope that everyone is to stupid to know the difference. I have all the details on all sides of this if you really want to know them. There are too many to type. Its a real pain in my ass and I wish the guy never would have stepped foot in Ohio. Super low, snaking my fans and squashing Trip's show. Trip is a really good dude. Tim "sundog" is an ass. I know you are a big fan of the Ledges and all the hard work we do. Please trust me on all this. But no stress OK, please. Its over. And to stuff it in his ass I just created my best show yet- SUMMERDANCE. And I put it right on top of his 3 G's. May the best show win!!!! wwwheeeeeeeeee! And- as an old Deadhead who knows. Jerry HATED when people used his name for advertising anything. It really bothered him. Especially his family name. Its in all the books. Thats why he only authorized his favorites- Ben & Jerrys ice cream, his ties and after he got into scuba diving he allowed a scuba suite line to use his name. I could go on but Im tired. That show is praying on people like you. So-so bands with repeat performances for BIG bucks. Hoping you think its bigger then it is. Sorry for all the negativity. He';s really got in my craw! Thanks for ALL the love and support over the years. I have quite a season planned!

And on top of all that, Evan puts GratefulBust on top of Hookahville. WTF. Evan comes off as a kind person (in print) but is very the opposite because I know and others know from experience.

yeah i dont know why its on top of hookahville this year however i can vouch that all years past evan has let hookahville have their weekend and wouldnt have anything going on that weekend at the ledges on purpose. with the exception of music on sunday night when hookahville was over. And it was always a tradition for me and many others to go to hookahville and then on Sunday when it was over, head over to the ledges to end the weekend. maybe it has something to do with the fact that hookahville has changed the way they do things and now they have hookah playing on sunday night. On top of that, those 2 weekends are the biggest camping weekends all year. So Im sure every camp ground all over the place is making special arangments that weekend to bring people in. That being said, Nelsons is a campground and specializes in music as their thing to bring people in so it would only make sense to use that draw on the 2 biggest camping weekends of the year.
